Why use a Math FB?

A Math FB allows you to develop new functions that may not be available with other FBs.

Examples:

•Mechanism-Synthesis, when combined with Measurement FBs and Parameter-Control FBs.

•Add two Motions together to create new Motion - e.g. Add a Modified-Sinusoid with a Constant Velocity to give a Starting Velocity and Ending Velocity that is not zero.

•Define Parametric equations for Piggyback Sliders.

Add Math FB

How to add :

STEP 1Add the Pattern FB to the graphic-data

1.Click Add menu > Mechanism menu > Add Math FB

1.Click Modeling FB toolbar > Add Math FB

2.Click the graphic-area

The Math FB is in the graphic-area.

How to edit :

STEP 2.Open the Maths dialog-box

1.Double-click the Math FB in the graphic-area
