Delete Dependent Elements

Warning - When you delete the 'element' you will also delete these elements.

Warning - When you delete the 'element' you will also delete these elements.

Many elements depend on (need) other elements.

They are called Dependent Elements

For example:

When you add a Pin-Joint, you select two Points in two different Parts.

Thus, the Pin-Joint depends on (needs) the two Points in the two Parts.

If you delete one of the two Parts, MechDesigner must also delete the Pin-Joint.

The Dependent Elements dialog-box is a list of the elements that depend on the element you want to delete and you will also delete if you continue with the delete command.

You can:

Delete all - click the OK-tiny-11-15 button

- or -

Cancel, Do NOT delete - click the Cross-16 button
