Why edit a Part?

We must edit a Part in the Part-Editor, to:

Edit its length

Add sketch-elements

Add Dimensions to and between sketch-elements

Add Constraints to and between sketch-elements

A Part is a basic element.

Its symbols is the Part-Outline

You can edit only one Part at a time. To edit a different Part, close the Part-Editor and edit the different Part from the Mechanism-Editor.



Note: With some graphics cards, to edit a Part:

Move your mouse-pointer above the arcRed-14-1b of the Part-Outline at its start-Point, and then double-click you mouse.

Alternatively, identify the Part in the Assembly-Tree, right-click it, and select Edit elementRed-14-2 in the contextual-menu.
