Why add a Continuous Crank FB

It is often the case, with inverse-kinematics, that the desired motion is applied to a Tool. When the Tool is not driven directly, the driving Part is the input to a mechanism. The motion and forces are transmitted through the mechanism, from the driving Part to the Tool Part.

Most typically, especially with Cam mechanisms, the driving Part is the Cam-Follower, which is moved by a cam.

As a special-case, the driving Part may rotate in one direction only, but with a non-uniform rotating speed.

To make sure this can happen, the driving-Part must be the correct length, and it must be instructed to rotate in one direction. This is one application of the Continuous-Crank FB.

Menu :

Add menu > Add Continuous-Crank FB

To add a Continuous-Crank FB to the graphic-area:

1.Click Modeling FB toolbar > Continuous-Crank FB

- or -

1. Click Add menu > Add Continuous-Crank FB

2.Click again in the graphic-area

The Continuous-Crank FB is now in the graphic-area.
