What is 'Auto-Layer'?

Auto-Layer automatically adds an Extrusion Offset to each Extrusion in a way to make sure each extrusions does not collide with a different extrusion as the machine cycles.


Note: You must use Show Model in Mechanism to see the Solids.

Toolbar:

Solids menu [or toolbar] > Auto-Layer

Menu :

Add menu > Mechanism sub-menu > Solids sub-menu > Auto-Layer

to do:

1.Click Solids toolbar > Auto-Layer

or

1.Click Add menu > Mechanism sub-menu > Solids sub-menu > Auto-Layer
2.Wait

Result:

Auto-Layer edits the Extrusion Offset and Part Offset parameters in the Extrusion dialog so that the Auto-Profile elements move to become 'layered'.

Preparation:

You must do Solids toolbar > Auto-Profiles before you can do Auto-Layer.

Notes:

You can also use the Extrusion dialog-box to edit the Extrusion offset of each Extrusion
