Show/Hide Other Kinematic and Sketch elements

Visibility toolbar > Show Other Kinematic and Sketch elements

NOTE - there is not a Visibility menu


These Toggle-Switches do NOT relate to the visibility of Solids.

The Toggle Switches relate to the visibility of Kinematic and Sketch-elements


Global Switch On - Off

Icon-Visibility-Other Mech-SHOW

Visibility toolbar > Show other kinematic and sketch elements : ON

Icon-Visibility-Other Mechs-HIDE

Visibility toolbar > Show other kinematic and sketch elements : OFF

Light-Bulb Switch ON - OFF

Lightbulb-ShowMechanism

Mechanism name-tab : light-bulb switch is ON

Lightbulb-HideMechanism

Mechanism name-tab : light-bulb switch is OFF


You will see (in the active Mechanism-Editor) the Sketch-Elements and Kinematic-elements in each Mechanism-Editors with its Light-Bulb ON.

Normal Visibility:

Mechanism-Editor: Kinematic-elements and Sketch-elements that are related to Parts in the active Mechanism-Editor

Part-Editor: Only Sketch-elements and Dimensions that are related to Part you are editing.

Visibility with these Switches

Showbackground

To turn on a Light-bulb switch Lightbulb-ShowMechanism :

1.Right-click on the name-tab of any Mechanism-Editor

2.Click Show with "other kinematic and sketch elements".

You will see slightly different elements in the Part-Editor from the Mechanism-Editor.

Global Switch and Light-Bulb Switches in the Part-Editor to:

View the kinematic and sketch elements found in the Mechanism-Editor of which the part is a child.

View the kinematic and sketch elements of those other Mechanism-Editors when their light-bulb is ON

You do not see kinematic and sketch elements of those other Mechanism-Editors when their light-bulb is off.

Global-Switch and Local-Bulb Switches in the Mechanism-Editor to:

View those kinematic and sketch-elements of those other Mechanism-Editors when their light-bulb is ON

You do not see kinematic and sketch-elements of those other Mechanism-Editors where their light-bulb is off.


Colors: To change the color of other kinematic and sketch elements :

Edit menu > Application-Settings > Graphics tab > Graphic Options | Background Sketch

Red-14-1b A Part-Symbol in a different mechanism

Red-14-2 A Line or CAD-Line in a different mechanism.

TOP-TIP :

When you Show Other Kinematic and Sketch-Elements, :

To Identify Parts

Single-Click a Parte-Simbolo or Joint, or CAD-Line) to identify in the Selection-Window and Assembly-Tree the name of the Part (or Joint, or CAD-Line) and the Mechanism-Editor to which it is a child.

Single-Click a sketch-element to identify in the Selection-Window the name of the sketch-element and to which Part the sketch-element is a child.

To Jump-to Mechanism-Editors

Double-Click a Part-Outline or sketch-element to jump to the Mechanism-Editor in which the Part or sketch-element is a child.
