NOTE - there is not a Visibility menu

New MD14.3 - Use this tool and the light-bulb ( Lightbulb-HideMechanism Lightbulb-ShowMechanism ) indicator on each Mechanism name-tab - see more, below

This tool has two states.

Icon-Visibility-Other Mech-SHOW

Visibility toolbar > Show Other Mechanisms and Sketch-Elements : ON state

Icon-Visibility-Other Mechs-HIDE

Visibility toolbar > Hide Other Mechanisms and Sketch-Elements : OFF state

Part-Editor: Show or Hide:

Sketch-Elements, CAD-Lines, Profiles, Joints - in the other AND the active Mechanism-Editors

Mechanism-Editor: Show or Hide

Sketch-elements, CAD-Lines, Profiles, Joints - in other Mechanism-Editors

Show Other Mechanisms and Sketches:

1.Click Visibility toolbar > Show Other Mechanisms and Sketches

Red-14-1b is a Part-Outline in a different mechanism.

Red-14-2 is a Line or CAD-Line in a different mechanism.

To Hide Other Mechanisms and Sketches:

1.Click again Visibility toolbar > Show Other Mechanisms and Sketches

Colours: To change the colour of the Other Mechanisms and Sketches :

Edit menu > Application-Settings > Graphics tab > Graphic Options | Background Sketch

New MD14.3: Now, when you use Show other Mechanisms, you can also select which Mechanism-Editor(s) you want to see, with the new light-bulb indicator that is in each Mechanism name-tab.

MechanismEditor-Nametab-Right-Click-Show

The light-bulb has two states: OFF Lightbulb-HideMechanism (default), and ON Lightbulb-ShowMechanism.

You can edit the state of the light-bulb from any Mechanism-Editor.

To turn the light-bulb ON Lightbulb-ShowMechanism :

1.Right-click the Mechanism name-tab of any Mechanism-Editor
2.Click Show when background viewing is turned on.

When you do

Visibility toolbar > Show other Mechanisms

... then you will see the Parts and sketches-elements of each Mechanism-Editor with its light-bulb indicator set to the ON Lightbulb-ShowMechanism state.

When you do: Show Other Mechanisms and Sketches, to:

Identify Parts

Single-Click a Part-Outline or Joint, or CAD-Line) to identify in the Selection-Window and Assembly-Tree the name of the Part (or Joint, or CAD-Line) and the Mechanism-Editor to which it is a child.
Single-Click a sketch-element to identify in the Selection-Window the name of the sketch-element and to which Part the sketch-element is a child.

Jump-to Mechanism-Editors

Double-Click a Part-Outline or sketch-element to jump to the Mechanism-Editor in which the Part or sketch-element is a child.

Show Other Mechanisms and Sketches:

1.Click Visibility toolbar > Show Other Mechanisms and Sketches

Red-14-1b is a Part-Outline in a different mechanism.

Red-14-2 is a Line or CAD-Line in a different mechanism.
