You CAN specify the:

Position at the START of the segment.

You CANNOT specify the:

Position at the END of the segment - it is is equal to the Position at the start of the Segment.
Velocity at the START and the END of the segment - it is 0 units/s

Notes

A Dwell keeps the position at a constant value.

Application Notes

Use the Dwell when you want a stationary Motion-Part.

Dwell is used far too frequently.

The longer the Dwell, the shorter the other segments, and hence their peak accelerations increase and become shorter, which increases their harmonic and frequency content.

Note-Pencil-20

Try not to use a Dwell segment unless you need a tool to be absolutely stationary for at least 20° range of the X-axis. If the dwell is less than 20°, then try to use segments with low or zero jerk values.
