Acceleration is constant.

Velocity increases or decreases linearly, as a function of the Start and End Position values.

With the SEGMENT-EDITOR or the BLEND-POINT EDITOR you ...

CAN specify the:

Position at the START of the segment.

Velocity at the START of the segment.

CANNOT specify the:

The Velocity, Acceleration or Jerk values at the START or END of the segment

In this image the

Start Position = 0mm

End Position = 1mm

Start Velocity = 0mm/s

The motion-values at the Start [position, velocity] and the Segment-Width give the motion-values at the end of this Segment.


Applications

Segments with Constant Acceleration, or continually changing velocity.

You can use this to model a Part under the influence of a Constant-Acceleration, or a constant force or torque.

For example, edit the end-position until the Acceleration is -9807mm/s/s.
