This topic is STEP 3: Edit the element's parameters in its dialogbox.
The image below is a dialogbox. It is the Dimension dialogbox.
It has one parameter [Dimension] and databox [currently set to 300].
In this image of the Dimension dialogbox, I have added a 'window' to highlight the parameter box. The three areas of the parameter box are:

There are three different procedures you can use to edit a parameter in a dialogbox.
Enter a value directly: 1.Use your keyboard to enter the datavalue 2.Press the Enter key on your keyboard to update to the new value You must press the Enter key. 

Enter a value as a symbolic equation: 1.Use your keyboard to enter an equation 2.Press the Enter on your keyboard to update to the new value You must press the Enter key 

Symbolic parameters for an Equation: •Simple Arithmetic: +, –, *, /; •Indices: ^, Sqrt(); •Trigonometric [Angles are Radians], pi, Sin(), Cos(), Tan(), Sinh, Cosh, Tansh, ArcSin(), ArcCos(), ArcTan2( ; ) 
SpinBox arrowhead buttons [in the CYANBOX] Top : Left arrowhead to decrease the datavalue by the SpinIncrement Top : Right arrowhead to increase the datavalue by the SpinIncrement Bottom : Left arrowhead to divide [÷] the SpinIncrement by 10 Bottom : Left arrowhead to multiply[×] the SpinIncrement by 10 

Example : Use of the SpinBox tool with the Dimension parameter, above Edit the Data Value by the SpinIncrement •Click the Top & Left arrowhead: Decrease the datavalue by the SpinIncrement. •Click the Top & Right arrowhead: Increase the datavalue by the SpinIncrement Edit the SpinIncrement •Click the Bottom & Left arrowhead: Divide the SpinIncrement by 10 •Click the Bottom & Right arrowhead: Multiply the SpinIncrement by 10 WARNING: The model rebuilds each time you click the top arrowhead buttons in the SpinBox tool. If the model is complex, it will take a long time to update if you click these arrows rapidly.

Doubleclick inside the databox to hide the SpinBox. Doubleclick the databox again to show the SpinBox. 
Use the 'Zero' / 'Round' menu: 1.Rightclick inside the data box The 'Zero / Round' contextualmenu shows. 2.Click: •Zero: value becomes = 0. •Round: value becomes nearest value that is exactly divisible by the SpinIncrement.
