Motion-Law: Position-List

Import Data: Position List

The Position List is a List Segment-Type.

Other List Segment-Types are Z-Raw-Data and the Acceleration-List


You must use the Data-Transfer Table to import data into a Position-List segment.

STEP 1.Import your data into the Data-Transfer Table

If you want the entire motion to use your data:

1.Delete segments until there is one segment in the motion.

Or, if you want to import your data into one segment of many segments in the motion:

1.Select the segment into which you want to import your data.

2.Select Position List in the list of motion-laws in the Motion-Law Selector drop-down.

3.Open the Data-Transfer Table

4.Click a cell in the first row of the Data-Transfer Table to make it the active cell.

To transfer data from your data file:

5.Do:

a.Copy and Paste data from your clipboard into the Data-Transfer Table.

or

b.Open a CSV, TXT or DAT(Camlinks based) file.

or :

c.Get Segment-Data or Get Motion Data from a different segment or motion.

The data is now in the Data-Transfer Table

STEP 2.Paste data from the Data-Transfer Table to a Position List segment

To Paste all of the data:

1.Click the Pos header (or the Header with the Position Values) in the Data-Transfer Table to select all of the data in the column.

2.Click Put List Data MT-DTT-PutData in the Data-Transfer Table toolbar.

Note : These two icon show only when the segment is a List Segment-Type.

OR

To Paste a sub-section of the data:

1.Click the first data-point you want to paste

2.SHIFT+Click the last data-point you want to paste

When the cells are active:

3.Click Put List Data MT-DTT-PutData in the Data-Transfer Table toolbar.

Note : Get Data and Put Data icons show only when the segment is a List Segment-Type.

STEP 3.Scale the data in the Position-List Segment.

There are two cases:

Case 1: First and Last data points are EQUAL

Scale-Factor and Position-List Use when First = Last data point.

1.Open the Segment-Editor

If required, to see the Segment Parameters, expand and collapse the Segment Motion-Law.

2.Edit the Scale Factor parameter.


Case 2: First and Last data points are NOT EQUAL

1.Start the Segment-Editor or Blend-Point-Editor

2.Edit the Start-Position and End-Position

Velocity, Acceleration and Jerk values scale automatically.
