SEGMENT-EDITOR - Example Y-axis Value of Position only
It is important to understand that the Y-axis values are a function of the:
Use the settings of the three Control-Buttons in Y-axis Values to specify or not-specify a motion-value of each motion-derivative.
Do you want the value at the Start of the Selected-Segment to = or ≠ the End-Value of the Previous-Segment?
Do you want to specify, or not-specify, the value at the Start of the Selected-Segment?
Do you want to specify, or not-specify, the value at the End-Value of the Selected-Segment?
Motion Laws and Motion-Derivatives
It is the Motion-Law that determines whether you can edit a motion-value for a particular motion-derivative.
•Flexible-Polynomial Motion-Law : you can edit the motion-values of all motion-derivatives ( P,V,A,J )
•Traditional Motion-Laws : you can frequently only edit the motion-value of the position motion-derivative
Control Buttons States
FLOW is active
The motion-value at the Start of the Selected-Segment ...
... automatically becomes [forced to be] equal to the motion-values at the End of the Previous-Segment
FLOW is Not Active
AND IF: Start is Active
You can edit the motion-values at the Start of the Selected-Segment
AND IF: Start is Not Active:
You will not edit the motion-values at the Start of the Selected-Segment [but you could, if click the icon to make it 'Start is Active'
AND IF: Start is In-Active
You cannot possibly edit the motion-values at the Start of the Selected-Segment
