Add Vertical Constraint

Add Vertical

There are two types of Vertical constraint.

MD-Toolbar-Constraints-VER

Two Points (VerticalPtoP)

Add Gearing FB

1.Click Constraints toolbar > Add Vertical (right of graphics-area)

OR

1.Click Geometry menu > Vertical

Then:

2.Click a Point*

3.Click a different Point*

The two Points* are now Vertical, and parallel with the Y-axis


* Point, start-Point, end-Point, or center-Point

Line (VerticalL)

Add Gearing FB

1.Click Constraints toolbar > Add Vertical

OR

1.Click Geometry menu > Vertical

Then:

2.Click a Line**

The Line** is now Vertical, and parallel with the Y-axis


** Line or CAD-Line.

Delete Vertical

We do no show constraints in the graphics-area. You must find the constraint you want to delete.

1.SHIFT + Click a Point or Line in the graphics-area.

If the sketch-element has a VerticalL or VerticalPtoP constraint, it shows in the Selection-Window.

2.Right-click the VerticalL or VerticalPtoP constraint in the Selection-Window

3.Click Delete element in the shortcut menu
