Friction of Slide-Joint dialog
Damping Velocity Coefficient, [N.s/m]
When the Parts at the joint are sliding relative to each other, we use the Damping Velocity Coefficient together with the linear velocity [m/s] of the Joint, to calculate the additional Force that is needed to overcome the damping resistance.
Static Friction Coefficient,
When the Parts at the joint are not sliding relative to each other, we use the Static Friction Coefficient, together with the Force at the joint, to calculate the additional Force that is needed to begin sliding the joint.
Dynamic Friction Coefficient,
When the Parts at the joint are sliding relative to each other, we use the Dynamic Friction Coefficient, together with the Force at the joint, to calculate the additional Force that is needed to slide the joint.
